Embracing the Current Season of Life

I absolutely loved this session because the Smith's fully embraced this season of their life. When their three year old was getting antsy and started jumping on the bed, they embraced it. The session turned into a fun dance party (music included) on their bed. Mom and dad wanted to capture their life as it currently is and I love it. It was so much fun! Plus it really let their personalities show in their final gallery.

A newborn lifestyle session is so special because we get images of your beautiful family in your home. Your home doesn't have to be picture perfect to get beautiful images! The Smith's had planned on capturing life in their living room, but the lighting just wasn't right. So we pivoted and ended up taking the majority of photos in the master bedroom and nursery. The light still wasn't amazing, but we made it work. The images still turned out beautiful even though not everything went to plan.

I absolutely love working with clients who are flexible and roll with whatever comes their way during a session! The Smith's not only rolled with everything, but they also had fun along the way. You can see the fun and the authenticity in the photos. What a joy for me to photograph!
