I had so much fun at this family maternity session at Hays Nature Preserve! I was so honored to get to capture this sweet family and this beautiful mama of four rainbow babies. Helping families capture sweet moments with little ones is why I love being a family photographer. This session was just the best. The light was beautiful, the girls looked so cute in their matching lemon dresses, and mama was absolutely glowing! Even better, the girls came ready for picture taking and were so wonderfully behaved and ready to capture some pictures.
A personalized session
Pregnancy is a great time to get family photos because we can do family photos and maternity photos in one session! In this case, you definitely want to get a full hour session so we have time to get a variety of images.
No matter which type of session you choose, I will send you a questionnaire before the session. This questionnaire is designed to provide me with more information about your family prior to your session. This allows me to make sure you have a positive experience and so I can do my best to get the photos you are hoping.
In this case, this gorgeous mama let me know she hadn't had the chance to get maternity photos previously since she was pregnant during the pandemic. She also let me know she was needing more photos of their sweet baby girl they recently adopted. This information was so helpful in preparing for this session so I could make sure I planned to get those images. So when it comes time to complete your questionnaire, be sure to include any images you are hoping for during your session. I will do my best to make it happen!
Hays Nature Preserve
Hays Nature Preserve in South Huntsville is gorgeous! They have a variety of locations that can be utilized including a riverbank, fields, a bridge, and a pond. There are a variety of options for photographs. All of them beautiful. Even better, there are paved paths in many areas making it relatively easy to bring a stroller. It is also free! During your session my goal is of course to capture beautiful pictures of your family. However, I also hope that you enjoy these moments with your family. I want to make sure to get the all of the family photos you want and I will be giving directions throughout the session (I do always try to give some fun prompts), but in between feel free to let loose and enjoy yourself. Sometimes a prompt for your toddler to twirl is the perfect time for the whole family to start dancing, especially if it makes them (and you) happy.
